Terms of Service

Overhang is source-available software (see Cost and license below), operated as a hosted service by Nicolas Chourrout, sole proprietor (the "Service", "we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the hosted Service. If you run your own copy of Overhang (self-hosting), your use of the software is governed by its license, not by these terms. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Overhang. Accounts are optional and off by default; if you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account.

• Don't use the Service to design or produce weapons, illegal items, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Don't scrape, abuse, or attempt to disrupt the Service.

Overhang is free to use. There are no paid plans or subscriptions. The software is source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial License; commercial use requires a separate license (contact us).

You own the 3D models, STL/3MF files, and code you generate. We claim no rights over them. We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the Service. We do not train models on the content of your private projects.

Overhang uses AI to generate CAD designs. Models may contain errors, inaccurate dimensions, or features that are unsafe to print. You are responsible for reviewing every design before printing or using it. We make no warranty that generated designs will be fit for any particular purpose, will print correctly, or will be safe for use. The Service is provided "as is".

We do our best to keep the Service running, but we don't promise any specific uptime. We may perform maintenance, change features, or pause access without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to EUR 50. The Service is provided free of charge. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced here and, when reasonable, by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Paris, France.
